On February 13, the RA National Assembly continued of the regular sittings and by voting passed the bills debated in the previous day.

The draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Air Communications between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan presented by the Chair of the RA Civil Aviation Committee Tatevik Revazyan, was debated.

The Agreement was endorsed by the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The package of the draft laws on Reduction and Prevention of the Damage Being Caused to the Health as a Consequence of the Use of Tobacco Products and Their Substitutes, on Making Addendum and Amendment to the RA Law on Local Self-Government, on Amending the RA Law on Advertisement, on Amending the RA Law on Local Duties and Payments, on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan has noted that the legislative gaps, the aggressive commercials of the tobacco, the open showing and placement of the tobacco promote the deepening of smoking epidemics.

The deputy Tsovinar Vardanyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs and the amendments made in the content.

The Secretary of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Gevorg Gorgisyan presented the viewpoint of the Faction.

On behalf of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction Artur Grigoryan delivered a speech and called on to vote for it and fight together against evil.

Hayk Konjoryan presented the viewpoint of the RA NA My Step Faction.

In her final speech the RA Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan touched upon the deputies’ interpellations.

The RA Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Ara Nazaryan in the first reading presented for debate the draft law on Material Reserve and the package of the enclosed draft laws.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security endorsed the legislative initiative.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements authored by the deputy Gevorg Papoyan was debated in the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan has informed that the viewpoint of the Government is positive on the draft law.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the deputies Nikolay Baghdasaryan and Sona Ghazaryan.

Sergey Atomyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, highlighting the reform of the Code.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan presented the positive viewpoint of the government.

The MPs delivered speeches and highlighted the adoption of the legislative initiative.

Afterwards the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Pardon, jointly authored by the RA Government and the deputies Naira Zohrabyan and Vahe Enfiajyan, was debated in the first reading.

The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Anna Karapetyan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.

The bill on Making Addendum and Amendment to the RA Civil Procedure and the package of the enclosed bills, presented by the RA Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Edvard Hovhannisyan, were debated in the first reading.

The Member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Artur Davtyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The MPs by voting passed the initiatives debated during the day.
